Antoni Jurasz University Hospital No. 1 in Bydgoszcz

The founding body of the Hospital is Nicolaus Copernicus University in Torun (NCU). In accordance with the charter of the A. Jurasz University Hospital No. 1 issued by the Rector of Nicolaus Copernicus University, the aim of the Hospital is to realise didactical and research goals in connection with providing health services and promotion of health. The Hospital constitutes a didactical base for the students of Ludwik Rydygier Medical College NCU in Bydgoszcz and scientific research and, above all, serves as the region’s largest hospital providing high specialty medical procedures as well as health, diagnostic and rehabilitation services for the patients of the region. Within its educational framework, the Hospital also provides under- and postgraduate courses for doctors, nurses, paramedics, physiotherapists and other medical specialists.

Having highly qualified personnel the Hospital guarantees its patients a professional, knowledge, experience and research-based medical care.

The Hospital’s organisational structure consists of 26 departments and units (summarily 940 beds), 6 diagnostic divisions and Specialist Outpatient Clinic Complex. The Hospital annually admits approx. 37 000 patients and provides approx. 170 000 specialist consultations.
